Who I am

I am Wally Hindman, a father of 3, husband of 1 and granddad to 4, soon to be 5.  I strive to be a follower of Jesus, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new foods and playing golf.  I worked for 32 years in Information Technology in various capacities.  In my 50’s I felt compelled to return to school and earn a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling.  I spent 5 years doing individual and couples counseling and for the past 3 years have had the honor to work as a Middle School Counselor.  In 2011 I helped found and continue to help lead a Men’s Ministry called The Journey Ministries (thejourneyministries.com).  I just created this blog and submitted my first entry. I plan to make one entry each week which will also be published in our local Newspaper, The Polk County News (Benton, TN).
